Perhaps you want to live in a place you own. It might be that it needs to be accessible for less than $50,000. You would prefer a neighborhood that is friendly. It would be best if you can look out of the windows and see where your child or children are playing along with other kids.
If this is you, then you may fit the manufactured homes demographic. These are by and large one of the best alternatives to apartments. Also, if you are a countryside type of person but don’t like the isolation, then the trailer park offers a viable alternative to cramped apartments. Also, they really can spring you free of a forced-rental scene and allow you to buy even with a very humble income.
Boise has over 11 different trailer subdivisions. While still normally called ‘trailer parks’ they are arranged in virtually exactly in the same manner as the pre-planned subdivision communities.
One of these is called Clover Leaf. The location is terrific. It is just South of the river, on the near East side. It is a short commute via Rte. 20 to enter downtown.
What’s funny yet charming about trailer park communities is that the people are often less closed off from each other than you might find in some but luckily not all other neighborhoods.
Be sure to ask your realtor about newly made trailers and parks in contrast to long established ones. Always inquire about the risk of high winds, flooding and fire since these homes don’t normally have foundations.
